Environmental Health Manager (Health Improvement) (37 Hours per week)

Daventry is an ambitious District where rural charm meeting urban living.  While we’re proud of our heritage, we’re just as excited about what we’ll create.

We are looking for an experienced senior leader to help us shape the way we work by developing cross team working across the Environmental Health Team, setting high standards and driving cultural change.

Initially you will be responsible for managing core functions of the Environmental Improvement section, maintaining high professional and technical standards of environmental health practice, implementing and enforcing environmental health legislation and related duties.

Technical Administrator (37 Hours per week)

Daventry is an ambitious District with a £100m regeneration programme including a cinema, restaurants and a Leisure Centre in the East of the District.

In this essential role you’ll provide an effective administrative service to the development control team by processing planning applications, pre-applications, appeals and enforcements.

We’re looking for someone with experience of providing high quality administration and dealing with the public.  You’ll also need to be able to interpret maps and plans.

Whilst you are supporting the development control team working on developments, we’ll make sure you are supported too.  We’re flexible, family-friendly and nice people to work with.  We’ll give you the work-life balance you need to enjoy the distinctive rural charm all around you.

Senior Environmental Health Officer (37 Hours per week)

Daventry is an ambitious East Midlands District where rural charm meets urban living. While we are proud of our heritage, we’re just as excited about what we are developing.

We are looking for an experienced and competent Environmental Health Officer to complete our team to deliver a high standard of service and to help us develop Environmental Health cross team working.

To begin with, you will be responsible for delivering and overseeing an array of interventions including necessary enforcement within your competency.  Subsequently, you will be provided with the opportunity to develop your skills across all Environmental Health functions.

Housing Option Officers (Full time and Part time roles available)

Here in Daventry, we’re proud of our heritage. But we are just as excited about our future – with a £100m regeneration programme improving life for everyone in the area.

As a Housing Options Officer here at the Council, you can play an important part in improving lives for everyone here in Daventry District too.

Your role will be to assist in the delivery and statutory duties, powers and policies of the Housing Options Team.

The prevention and relief of homelessness. Providing support work, creating personal housing plans and achieving housing solutions. Assessing homeless applications. Arranging temporary accommodation when necessary. Registering Homechoice applications and nominate applicants from the housing register to suitable properties in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. Completing financial assessments for Disability Facilities Grants.

Environmental Protection Officer (Part time)

This is Daventry District.  Where rural charm meets urban living, supported by a £100m regeneration programme, including a cinema, restaurants and a new Leisure Centre in the East of the District.

This is an opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to tackle issues which are a major cause of concern to residents in our district. You will primarily deal with complaints about environmental crime including fly-tipping, littering and Illegal carriage of waste. The successful candidate must have experience of dealing directly with the public in an enforcement role, will be educated to a good standard, and be able to work flexibly, often outside of office hours.
